Scrambling to Prepare

The cheapest tickets Alex and I could find turned out to land on July 4th, a few days prior to when we expected to leave. So here we are scrambling to get everything together. Checklist? Nope. In classic Roth style, we seem to be jumping from idea to idea in our head. Not too efficient, but sure makes for a wild ride.
Some things to do: Pick up some tools, buy a sleeping pad, mosquito nets, tune bike, blah blah blah.
Oh yeah, and finish this website. It’s my hope that you will be able to follow our route via delayed GPS posts. I’ll only be able to upload GPS data whenever we have WiFi access. Until then you’ll just have to guess where the heck we are. In a nutshell we’re trying to head from Anchorage, AK to Panama City, Panama. Sure, it looks like there are some political obstacles in our way, but they might clear up by the time we get down south. More soon…
